5 full-day intensive course from September 2015 to May 2016 on a Saturday.  The full course counts as 40 hours CPD

This course acts as a superb introduction to dental implants covering treatment planning, overview of placement and detailed theory and practical skills for restoring them and medico-legal aspects you should know.

  • Use of post extraction provisional restoration to effect aesthetic outcome

Practical Workshop: Review of cases being planned, letter writing, assessment forms, investigations

  • Restoring implants
  • Impression technique
  • Restoration design

Practical Workshop: Impression techniques – open and closed tray techniques; Use of restorative components – healing caps, provisional implant restorations, abutments; Review of cases being planned

WORKSHOP 4 – TBA

  • Occlusion – basic principles
  • Occlusion – in implant dentistry
  • Planning and sequencing

Practical Workshop: Correct use of articulators – centric relation recording, occlusal prescription – talking to the laboratory; Facebow records – Denar Slidematic, Kols facila analyser; Review of cases being planned

  • Overdentures – planning, sequencing, components; Full mouth cases – when to refer
