Carl has a Masters in both Periodontology and Dental Implants.
He lectures for the ITI, and is a mentor for Straumann and Visiting Specialist Services. He qualified from Birmingham in 1996 with a Clinical Distinction, and whilst concurrently in practice was an SHO, then progressed to lecturing the undergraduates clinically and on the restorative course.
He has lectured in several countries, being invited to IADR in San Francisco, as well as Gothenburg and Athens and most recently sunny Newtown. He has been a Foundation Dental trainer on several occasions. He has experience with complex cases, now limiting his practice to periodontal and implant care only.
He has two children, one hamster, a fierce cat, and small dog. He enjoys cycling and had recently completed another challenge crossing the Pyrenees from the Mediterranean to the Atlantic in 5 days.
